The Old Testament saints lived for God in idolatrous settings. They knew about heaven some spoke about it: “Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.”  “And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.” “And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.”

Psalm 16:8-10. Good works pay. Living in service to God, like the men of old will secure you a seat on the Rapture train. Don’t look for excuses to change the narrative. If it works for them, it will work for us!

The righteous of the Old Testament era had patiently awaited the coming of their King. Now, He had come and He had risen. After His resurrection, a miraculous sign appeared, a signal of things to come: Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. (Matthew 27:50-53)
